Chikara line ups (for this month)
Chikara: A Death Worse Than Fate
Saturday, February 25th in Reading, Philadelphia

Sara Del Rey vs Archibald Peck
Colt Cabana vs Kobald
Fire Ant & Soldier Ant vs The Throwbacks
Green Ant vs Ophidian
Chikara: Caught In The Spiders Den
Sunday, February 26th in Long Island, New York

Sara Del Rey vs Saturyne
Gran Akuma vs Chuck Taylor
Colt Cabana vs Ultramantis Black
Francis K. Stevens vs Kobald
Thoughts: The main events for both nights look very strong on paper. If Johnny Gargano still hasn’t recovered in time for the show, I imagine his stablemate Icarus will take his place. If my memory serves me correctly, that has happened before.

ROH/Chikara double header

Ring Of Honor and Chikara will have a double header on April the 28th in Chicago. Chikara will present “Hot Off The Griddle” in the afternoon, with ROH following up with “Unity” in the evening.
Thoughts: They’re hyping this as if they’re promoting a ROH/Chikara crossover show, but so far it just sounds like a regular double header to me. I think Jigsaw and Hallowicked are getting their ROH tag title shots at the ROH show, but no word on if there will be any further crossover yet.
- Lee
Edit: Thanks to Tristan Wolfe for informing me that the show will actually be in Chicago, not Baltimore. I got it muddled up with the show on the fourth of February. Sorry about that.
ROH: “The Homecoming” results (20/01/12)
Here are the results from last night’s ROH ‘Homecoming’ show, at the Pennsylvania National Guard Armory in Philadelphia.
Eddie Edwards came out and told the crowd he couldn’t compete tonight due to a staph infection.
Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas defeated Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly
Tomasso Ciampa defeated Mike Bennett, Grizzly Redwood and Andy Ridge
Steve Corino cut a promo announcing that he’s staying, and that he’d finally earned the respect of the fans and everyone in the back. Kevin Steen then came out and berated Corino, before talking trash about Jim Cornette. Steen then offered Corino a free shot at him, but Corino left the ring without doing anything.
Kevin Steen defeated Kenny King. Post-match, Steen beats down Rhett Titus, who was at ringside and on crutches.
Michael Elgin defeated Chris Hero. Shane Hagadorn came out before the match and asked Hero if he could manage him again. Hero thanks Hagadorn for his work in the past, but says he wants to go it alone now, and takes Hagadorn out with an elbow.
No Holds Barred: Roderick Strong defeated Adam Cole, who replaced Eddie Edwards. Michael Elgin comes out during the match and beats Cole down, but Edwards makes the save. Cole recieved a standing ovation post-match.
Proving Ground: Jigsaw and Hallowicked defeated ROH Tag Team Champions the Briscoes. After the match a whole host of Chikara stars invade the ring (Mike Quackenbush, Dasher Hatfield, Ultramantis Black, Frightmare and The Colony). Mantis cuts a heel promo putting over Chikara, which the Briscoes don’t like at all.
ROH World Championship: Davey Richards defeats TV Champion Jay Lethal to retain the World title. A Richards vs Lethal rematch is announced for the next TV tapings.
Thoughts: The Chikara invasion sounds awesome. If this is planting the seeds for a ROH/Chikara war, I’m very excited. The rest of the card sounds great too. It’s fantastic to see Adam Cole get put in such a big singles spotlight and recieve such a positive reaction.

Results from Chikara: Young Lions Cup (day 2 cancelled)
Young Lions Cup day 2 has been cancelled due to the hurricane. Sorry, I would have reported this yesterday, but I missed it on the Chikara Twitter page.
Luckily, the decision to cancel was made yesterday, so the start time of that show was brought forward and it turned into a super show, featuring the entire tournament
Thoughts: I hope none of our readers have been affected by the hurricane. Keep safe folks!
I’ll post the results in chronological order:
Green Ant won the Young Lions Eliminator 1 (vs Kobald vs Robbie Eagles vs Will O The Wisp II)
Jakob Hammermeier won the Young Lions Eliminator 2 (vs Greg Iron vs Chase Owens vs Obariyon)
Matt Jackson defeated Johnny Gargano
Archibald Peck won the Young Lions Eliminator 3 (vs Matt Fitchett vs MK McKinnan vs Milo Shizo)
Tadasuke won the Young Lions Eliminator 4 (vs Nick Jackson vs Sean South vs Mark Andrews)
Hallowicked defeated Sara Del Rey (“12 Large: Summit” tournament match)
Fire Ant defeated Vin Gerard (“12 Large: Summit” tournament match)
INTERMISSION
Green Ant defeated Jakob Hammermeier (Young Lions Cup semi final)
Tadasuke defeated Archibald Peck (Young Lions Cup semi final)
Ultramantis Black defeated Pinkie Sanchez
Icarus defeated Claudio Castagnoli (“12 Large: Summit” tournament match)
The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) defeated the Batiri (Obariyon & Kodama)
Tadasuke defeated Green Ant (Young Lions Cup final)
Thoughts: Congratulations Tadasuke! For anyone wondering, he is from Osaka Pro Wrestling (in Japan).
What a loaded show. Hopefully everyone with tickets got the news that the start time was moved, and hopefully everyone who was originally only going to day 2 made it to this show (their tickets were made valid for both).
If you attended, let us know how it went! indywrestling@hotmail.co.uk
